Check-In is a quick and easy way to send a pre-defined message to a previously selected contact. It is a handy way to let them know you are OK or have reached your destination. Each Check-In message will automatically include your location. The recipient will simply be able to check your location within their own mapping application.

Setting Up

To use Check-In, either in the app or on the device, you first need to select a recipient you would like to receive these messages.

The set-up is completed with the Bullitt Satellite Messenger app. To start, open the app on your phone.

Tap the Menu icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen. This is where you can access all the management details related to the app and your profile.

Tap ‘Settings’, to access the ‘settings menu’. Open the 'Check In' section; here you will select the contact who will receive all your check in notifications. You can also choose the accompanying message to give them a little more detail about your position.

Each check-in notification will send the text you choose along with your location.

To add your specific contact, tap the “Add contact” button. You will be given the option to add a contact from your existing address book or create a new contact.

You can then select the message you would like to accompany your location, there is an option to only send your location if more appropriate.

Once you have completed all the details, return to the app home page by tapping the return arrow in the top left-hand corner.
